Silence Dogood here. Yesterday, I wrote a post called “Alien bunnies, or the blog I should have done” about a blog concept based on a dream I’d had. So last night, I had another vivid dream. In this dream, I was editorial director of some magazine and was sitting at a large folding table on a beautiful beach with my art director and production manager.

Scenic, but not exactly thrilling, right? But wait: The reason why we were out there was that we were overseeing a photo shoot with Johnny Depp in all his piratical glory, surrounded by three models-as-mermaids and assorted shells, beach glass, pieces-of-eight, and so on strewn artistically on the sand. Not to overstate this, but I was sitting about two yards away from Johnny Depp.

So this morning I’m telling our friend Ben about this and he says, “But did anything interesting happen in this dream?”

Men.

          ‘Til next time,

Geez, like that was not interesting enough? HA Maybe I can replace Brad with Johnny in my next dream. Such a fascinating body of work. HA again.
Frances

Ha is right, Frances! I barely managed to refrain from saying to OFB “What about Johnny Depp don’t you understand?!!”

WOW, Alien bunnies, feet away from Johnny Depp, Gosh, you need some support, girl! I had a very vivid dream about Mick Jagger one time. He was riding by on a bike and I was on my way home, so he offered me his bike and proceeded to don roller blades and blade across a field to his house, while I followed on bicycle. It was funny we actually had the same exact bedspread, which I noticed during the house tour. We also ate some cherry turnover on paper plates. While all of this was happening Mick Jagger’s daughter, a four year old girl with huge brown hair, entered the kitchen smoking a cigar……Still one of THE weirdest and most memorable.

Yow, that’s some dream, Lzyjo! Somehow my favorite part is the cherry turnover, but of course I have to wonder if the bedspread was quilted!

He actually asked you that???? I got goose bumps just in your retelling of your dream…next time I insist on being on this particular set! Kim

Ha!!! Maybe you could be the art director, Kim!

LOL! They don’t seem to get Johnny Depp do they! That’s okay, we do. gail

So true, Gail!!!

Wait a minute, I GET JD! As a matter of fact, Ed Wood is one of my most favorite-est movies of all time. JD was amazing, with those wide eyes and that fuzzy sweater. HA I never saw a JD movie where he wasn’t the most mesmerizing presence on the screen.

Of course you get JD, Frances! You’re a woman, after all! I’ve never seen “Ed Wood”—or “Edward Scissorhands,” for that matter—but I agree, Johnny Depp dominates the screen in every movie I’ve ever seen him in. I love Robert Downey Jr. and am thrilled to anticipate his upcoming Sherlock Holmes, but oh my, I still think JD would be the best Holmes ever, the definitive Holmes! Maybe someday…

Oooh, JD would indeed make an excellent Holmes, a character I have always been interested in.

Yes, I think he was trying out Holmes when he portrayed Ichabod Crane in “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” and he was simply amazing!

I’m not going to touch the JD thing. I like his work, and you can do what you want with the rest (if OFB is willing.)

The “men” thing touched a cord. I think it’s the season. Fall is making it’s influence felt in my part of the world. All the boys on my farm are getting stupid. Chuck jumped the 5 ft. electric fence for no reason. Guido has a bloody head from doing battle with a telephone pole. Papa Rabbit has chewed his way through a 2×4, mostly destroying his private quarters. My friend G went out and bought a giant flat screen TV so he can watch the Bucks and the Browns (M is making him sell his gun collection to pay for it since he didn’t ask or budget for it.) I won’t even start on my own stupidity (too personal). This is the time of the rutt. Males seem to get rather stupid this time of year. Females seem to encourage it…………….

Telling Ben about JD is just pushing the stupid button. Watch out.

Ha!!!!!!! Good point, Alan! Better censor those dreams from now on!!!!
